The Colorado Mile Markers: A Report for Kaiser Permanente, Colorado

A May, 2012, report on promoting active transportion -- walking, biking -- commissioned by Kaiser Permanente Colorado has been added to the Resource Center best practices database.

"The Colorado Mile Markers: A Report for Kaiser Permanente, Colorado" seeks to help decision-makers make informed decisions regarding active transportation facilities and programs and to monitor the results of such actions. This report is basedupon research done nationally and in Colorado to identify those measures which, collected in together, will best inform active transportation decision-making and progress over time.

A set of four Colorado Active Transportation Mile Markers will track progress in Active Transportation work in Colorado. The release of the report launches AT Mile Markers Phase 2, which requires developing partnerships to implement the collection of these indicators and the compilation of this data to prioritize funding decisions statewide and locally and to monitor the results of AT work over time.
